MICROBLADING

WHO SHOULD AVOID MICROBLADING?

While microblading is great for most people, there are some people who are ineligible for microblading:

Those prone to keloids or post-inflammatory hypopigmentation. Unfortunately, since microblading punctures the skin as we add ink, we cannot work with clients with these conditions.

If you have a transmittable blood disease such as HIV or Hepatitis. Again, microblading artists cut the skin so it is our policy not to work with these conditions. If you’ve had Juvederm or other fillers in that area. Depending on the timing, we recommend to get microblading first! Otherwise, check with your doctor. Many artists may request a note from your doctor first.
Patients undergoing chemotherapy. Although microblading is great for restoring eyebrows, we would require a doctor’s note to perform the procedure for anyone undergoing chemotherapy.

If you have any kind of skin condition on or near your eyebrows. This includes eczema, shingles, rashes, or anything else near eyebrows. Children. Microblading is for adults only! We do not recommend microblading for anyone under the age of 18. It is our policy at Tanya Beauty Care not to work with children, even with a consent form.

The following restrictions are to ensure your skin is in the best possible condition for an amazing microblading procedure. Please read carefully:

HOME CARE INTRUCTIONS

Microblading post-care is very important to the appearance and longevity of your new eyebrows. Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure.
Start from 2nd night, make sure your hands are completely clean and gently apply the post-care (bepanthen cream) which given to you with a cotton swab. This can be done once at night time, but be sure to use the cream sparingly as your skin needs to heal itself. Please continue to apply the ointment for 7 days.

The following must be avoided during all 14 days post-microblading procedure:

  • Increased sweating
  • Practicing sports
  • Swimming
  • Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi
  • Sun tanning or salon tanning
  • UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading
  • Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck
  • Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment
  • Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris
  • Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
  • Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles
  • Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab
  • Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the showerhead or take a bath.
  • Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post-microblading procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear.

If you have any unexpected problems with the healing of the skin, please contact Tanya Beauty Care immediately, to discuss further instructions.

Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: fever, redness at the site, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, elevated body temperature, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, and/or any green/yellow discharge that is foul in odor.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING AND AFTER YOUR MICROBLADING SESSION

Entire healing process will take from 4-6 weeks depending on your body regeneration and age. Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.
The pigment will appear very natural looking immediately after the procedure. The color and size of your eyebrow will appear much darker and thicker the next day.

Note that because of natural skin regeneration, after recovery period (peeling), brows might appear lighter than original. This might give you the impression that color is fading too quickly. Often even with proper care, customer develop bald spots or lose original hair stroke which make brows look uneven. It is absolutely normal. Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. The final look of your eyebrows will be apparent approximately 30 days after your procedure.

FAQS

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Yes, you can wear makeup to the appointment – we will wipe the area with an antiseptic wipe before placing on the anesthetic.

HOW LONG DOES FEATHER STROKE EYEBROW TATTOOING LAST?

Microbladed eyebrows last 1 to 2 years for most people, before it usually needs a touch up. For permanent lips and eyeliner, it lasts 3 to 5 years.. Can vary depending on skin type, exposure to sun and reaction.

DOES IT HURT?

Most clients report little or no pain! We use a topical anesthetic before the procedure to numb the affected area.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

It usually takes 1.5 hours, with most of the time spent going over colors and drawing eyebrow shapes. The microblading portion lasts 30-40 minutes.

HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Click the shiny gold button above or call us on 0422 684 696. Please note: some of our artists book out many months in advance, so don’t delay! Responses can take 2-4 days.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Before your appointment, we highly encourage our clients to check out our Instagram and “shop” for eyebrows on our feed. Eyebrows comes in many shapes and styles, from feathered to bold, arched to straight. Our artists will work with you to customize your best brows. In the week before your appointment, we recommend avoiding blood thinners, aspirin, alcohol or using retinol creams.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

After the Feather touch tattoo there will be no redness or swelling to the area, however the lips and eyeliner will have a subtle swelling (in some cases this is only very minor). We don’t recommend having a cosmetic tattoo procedure prior to an event / special occasion where the area might make you feel a little self-conscious. As the area heals, the pigment will deepen in colour before fading away and this can last anywhere from 3 – 10 days.

CAN I CHOOSE THE COLOUR?

There are a range of pigment colours to choose from to suit all clients skin colour and eyebrow hair colour. We can also help you with choosing the right shade to suit your preference.

CAN I WAX OR THREAD AFTER I GET FEATHERING DONE?

Yes you can, however we recommend cleaning around the feather strokes to ensure the strokes do not fade quicker than usual.

SHOULD I WAX MY EYEBROWS BEFORE GETTING THEM FEATHERED?

Prior to the procedure we tweeze the eyebrows area clean. If you get your eyebrows waxed make sure it is done 2-3 days prior to your appointment. However, please ensure you leave the hairs which are close to your eyebrow shape. The more hairs we have to work amongst, the more natural looking the result will be.

WHEN SHOULD I GET A TOUCH UP?

Touch up’s should be done minimum 4-6 weeks post the initial treatment. This allows time for eyebrows to heal fully before perfecting them for the second time. It is very important that clients prioritise their touch up just as much as their initial treatment as this can affect obtaining the best results possible.

WHEN WOULD I NEED TO GET A ANOTHER TOUCH UP?

It all depends on how well your skin absorbs the ink, and/or fades. This is determined by a number of factors which comes into play such as exposure to sun, laser, certain medications, skin type etc. We can  advise if another touch up is needed but eyebrows would have to be assessed. For clients who have oily skin or participate in activities that involve swimming in chlorine water or constant exposure to the sun, a touch up every six months would be advised.

CAN I GET PERMANENT MAKEUP IF I HAVE JUVADERM INJECTIONS/ FILLERS?

We recommend getting permanent makeup first, or ask your Juvederm specialist for clearance.

CAN I BRING FRIENDS OR CHILDREN TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Unfortunately, our salon isn’t child friendly and due to Occupational Health & Safety, only the tattooist and client can be in the room during the procedure.
