This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to maintain infection control during skin penetration treatments and to review clinic compliance with the applicable state or territory and local council requirements.
It requires the ability to identify, manage and control infection risks to clients, self and work colleagues.
This unit applies to beauty therapists who work in beauty therapy salons, clinics or in cosmetic medical clinics. These therapists work autonomously and make independent treatment decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

 

  • Comply with infection control regulations and guidelines and related legal obligations
  • Monitor hygiene of premises
  • Maintain infection control for skin penetration treatments
  • Sterilise equipment and maintain steriliser
  • Maintain awareness of clinic design for control of infection

No, this class is open to all levels. To begin practicing in your area, you will need to check with your local county health department and inquire about the licensing needed to perform permanent makeup.

You will required to complete SHBBINF001 Maintain Infection Control Standards before you can start perform microblading on clients. You can also get this qualification through us.

You’ll receive a certificate of completion from our class, however, you will need to contact your local county health department for licensing in your area. Every county has different tests and requirements for artists to practice microblading.
